Just like…

I'm just beginning work on Mark Waters' new flick JUST LIKE HEAVEN. It's a gorgeous looking film, set in SF, and it's romantic and heartfelt. I've been looking forward to this for months. I have been thinking about another large orchestral score and what I'd like to try this time, and that's just what Mark has asked for. I've been away for a while, recharging after Matador and Crashers, and it feels really nice to be back at work.

I've just updated my writing studio and have had a few teething problems with things like Midi Over LAN, and I got rid of my analogue mixer so I am adjusting to digital life. The change feels good, though it'll take a little getting used to, and I'm very glad I have Stephen and others to call on to help me when I get snagged. As of yesterday evening everything was working. Fingers crossed.

Streaming Audio versus Downloads

I'm just wondering what people actually use - does anyone listen to the RealPlayer music or do you prefer to simply download the mp3? Please let me know what you use. Rolfe

Happy Campers

I keep getting requests for this score, which never ceases to suprise me as the film is not well known. The music has never been released on CD (of course). So I have posted 10 tracks on my "download" page. As ever I am eager for feedback. And you can now hear tracks from Matador and Wedding Crashers too.

Hello

This comments and feedback page is now hosted by blogger so that you can read all the posts and feedback. I do like getting feedback both about the music and the site, and I look forward to hearing from you. So drop me a line. Cheers, Rolfe

missing track in Sideways

I have had a couple of requests for the final track in SIDEWAYS - the track you are looking for is called SYMBIOSIS by Claus Ogermann, played by Bill Evans. The cue on the SIDEWAYS CD "Miles and Maya" was composed for this place in the film but the Evans track won out in the dub.
